Kaycee Dugard is a Survivor and Winner

Kaycee Dugard is my hero. I’m so impressed with her.

Of course, I feel terribly awful to hear about the abuse and neglect she suffered, having been kidnapped for nearly 20 year.

I’m very impressed with everything she has done to survive and strive to become her greatest.

I finally picked up a copy of the October 26, 2009 edition of People Magazine, which featured pictures of Kaycee Dugard now. It showed pictures of her with her mother. She is smiling in the pictures and the front cover says, “I’m so happy to be back.”

I admire how Kaycee who only has a 5th-grade education taught her two younger daughters Starlet and Angel to the best of her ability.

According to People, her daughters “are very bright.” They scored high on achievement tests. This is amazing since neither of the two children had been to school and were only taught by their mother, Kaycee, who had a 5-th grade education.

People Magazine also re-confirmed that she is riding a horse as part of her treatment in the healing process and getting reintegrated to her life with her family.

I’m anxious to see what Kaycee does with her life. She is on my list of people who’d I like to meet. I work with children who have suffered various types of abuse at an undisclosed location in one of the two Virginias. I’d love to have Kaycee to be a guest speaker in the distant future – to give advice to the children.

Kaycee’s mother is currently writing a book about the experience. It’ll be published by Broadway Books. I’ll definitely be purchasing a copy.

Reminder: you can assist the girls financially.
