1. Brief synopsis:

“Discover Hidden Secret Wisdom: A Recreational Therapist’s System on How You Can Become Great at Anything,” is a self-improvement book designed for teens and young adults who are seeking to become self-fulfilled. In this book, the reader will discover many things, including: the first step that must be taken, the most powerful took for self-development, a fascinating secret on gaining wisdom that only 3% of Americans even know. Danny calls it “the goldmine.” Readers will learn what successful people know, the truth about teachers, the best ways to feel happier, how to get a job or do anything. This book is jam-packed with secret wisdom on success. BONUSES INCLUDED: But wait, there's more. The reader will also get access to 30+ self-improvement articles and books that can be downloaded online as a gift for buying this book. Details about these bonuses are inside the book.

2. Who is your target audience:

Teens and young adults who are seeking to find their way in life were the target audience for this book. It’s a guide with tips on success. However, several readers claim that people in the helping profession would enjoy this book, too, because I tell a lot about my personal experiences working with youth.

3. Inspiration for writing the book:

Self-improvement books have always inspired me. Reading them puts me into a hypnotic state of being. I awake from a reading “spell” ready to succeed. In my opinion, “literacy and avid reading” are the key ingredients gaining wisdom and becoming successful. I had written my book to encourage youth to become avid readers. Mark Twain said, “The person who won’t read has no advantage over the person who can’t read.” It’s not about my book. It’s about my mission to promote literacy. A portion of the profits goes to the nonprofit organization, First Book.

First Book provides new books to children in need addressing one of the most important factors affecting literacy – access to books. An innovative leader in social enterprise, First Book has distributed more than 65 million free and low cost books in thousands of communities.

4. Research for the book:

Zero research. You may laugh aloud at that. I didn’t do any. I had written the book based on two personal experiences: a.) helping youth and young adults as a recreational therapist; and b.) being an avid reader. I acknowledge in my book that I didn’t read a full book until I was 18-years-old. Since then, I have read over 500 books, mostly in the self-improvement area. I had written about a lot of these books and the wisdom contained in them. Each chapter has several sited sources for the books that I discussed.

5. Experience, foundation and training

I’ve worked as a recreational therapist since 2002 at a psychiatric hospital located in one of the two Virginias. This 7-year experience has been providing a variety of services for children, teens, and young adults. I’ve had internships in recreational therapy in several inpatient settings, including: psychiatric, skilled nursing, & rehabilitation. Internships also included one nursing home.

6. How long have I been an author or artist

Creating books has been my hobby since my youth. I’ve always kept a journal and I’ve always created scrapbooks. Since, 2003, I’ve self-published 4 books.
