J.D. Salinger Dies at 91.

J.D. Salinger lived his life and that was that. He had been in recluse for nearly 50 years.

Not certain why he chose this lifestyle, but it was his choice to make. Believe he knew what made him the happiest. Hope he did it. Think he made the wrong choices, however. He was talented. Feel that he should have used his talent to give this world more stories.

Salinger often claimed he didn’t like fame. He requested for his picture to be taken off of the covers of books. He wouldn’t even allow his book to be made into a movie.

The Catcher in the Rye is one of the best-selling books on Amazon. Did a quick search and it is currently ranked # 6.

Had also read online last summer that Salinger sued because a hard-core fan had written a part-II to the cather. Source: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,524157,00.html
