Miep Gies passed away!

Miep Gies passed away. She was 100-years-old.

Miep was one of several people who helped to hide Anne Frank, her family and a few other people to hide in an annex during World War II to protect them from certain death by the Nazis. She was also the person who had saved Anne’s diary.

Find Miep Gies to be an outstanding and admirable person. She simply felt she was only doing what was necessary at the time. But it is so much more than that. Many people would have had the courage to take such a risk. She is one of my heroes.

Hope I’d be as courageous as she was. People like Meip make me want to be a better person. Many people know that my new year's goal is to be a better person.
