Failure... is Good.

Failure is a step in the right direction.

Worked as a rec thearpist for children at a psychiatric hospital for 7+ years.
Many children will say, "I can't" or won't try... becasue they're afraid they'll "mess up." They only do the things they know they can.
They'll pick an easy children's book with pictures of a chapter book.
They'll color a simple picture opposed to drawing something amazing.
They'll a pre-schooler board game comopared to an older kid's board game.

Do my best to encourage children to mess up a little -- especially in expressive arts group. Invite them to try it out. Just have fun and make a few mistakes.

Have heard that some great discoveries were found by accident such as vaccine.
