How to care for aging parents.

My good friend, Brenda Torres sent me an email about a book that I think you may be interested in knowing about.

Brenda is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) with over 19 years of experience. She is the creative director for this web-site, too: http://www.technohealer.com.

Brenda contributed to Dale Carter’s new book, Transitioning Your Aging Parent: A 5 Step Guide Through Crisis & Change.

This is a book for adult children and families to help their parents navigate the many changes that an aging person experiences.

Dale Carter was one of these adult children. She lived in Indiana and her mother lived 600 miles away in Maryland.

I, Danny Pettry, would recommend this book to anyone who has aging parents. I’d also like to recommend that recreational therapists who work with geriatrics to read this book, too. Recreational therapists could use the information in this book to help adult children of the geriatrics who they serve. Think this book could be a great resource for recreational therapists in geriatrics.

You can get the book here:
