Warning: Facebook - Gift Card Virus/ Fraud.

Please Share This Information With Others On Facebook:

Dear friend,

I think you should be warned about a site that is misleading.

I had a banner flash up on my facebook page that said congratulations you’re the (insert number) visitor today and you’ve won a $1,000 gift card to Wal-Mart.

I felt excited because earlier today I had talked to some people about raising $1,000 for pet food for a local no-kill animal shelter.

I thought I had immediately attracted the money to help this wonderful cause.

It told me to complete a 5-minute survey. I’m a little slower at these things, so it took me about 15-minutes to get through part of it.

Then, it said, in order to claim the gift card that I had won I had to purchase at least 2 of offers on one page. They wanted me to use my credit card online to purchase products.

I feel that this could be dangerous, so, I didn’t put my credit card information in.

It reminds me of something I saw on Clark Howard. Someone had been informed by an email that they had won some European lottery by chance. The person had to submit their banking information so they could supposedly make the winning deposit. Unfortunately, it was fraud.

The people on the other end used the bank information to clean-out their bank account.

Don’t be fooled. There isn’t money for free.

I don’t think you should trust the American Prize Panel either.

It could hack your facebook account, too.

The American Prize Panel link is:

http://www. american prize panel. Com

I broke up the link so you wouldn’t accidently click on it.

Here is a youtube video by a person (Not Me) who explains this situation:
