I have this fascination with space. I strongly feel that there is another planet out there that has life similar to us human beings. I hope we can discover and make contact with this planet or many planets like it during my lifetime. Of course, I do keep in mind Stephen Hawking’s comment: “If aliens ever visit us, I think the outcome would be much as when Christopher Columbus first landed in America, which didn't turn out very well for the Native Americans."
At this time, another Earth is just science-fiction. However, many things that were once science-fiction are real today, such as: putting a man on the moon or putting a robot on Mars.
One of my favorite movies is, “Another Earth.” In this movie, there is an exact replica of Earth, including another you on Earth II. I don’t think there is an exact copy of Earth and another me or you out there somewhere, but I do think that is an interesting concept.
One of my favorite novel series is “Across The Universe” by Beth Revis. It is a science fiction novel about a ship that leaves Earth to travel to another Earth-like planet. Some humans live their full live on this ship and die because the travel time is so long. Some of the important people from Earth were frozen to be awoken on the new planet (including: scientists, doctors, specialists in farming, specialists in weapons- just in case, and other important people. This book has a good story too, which I won’t disucss here so I won’t reveal any spoilers. The book had won a top-10 young adult award and I can’t wait until the third novel in the series.
I read an interesting article on another plant that could be like Earth, but it is still too far away.

Amazingly, I also got in the mail a book I pre-ordered on amazon, called, “Mirror Earth: The Search for our twin.”
