Ohio River Festival of Books is April 10-17

The Ohio River Festival of Books is April 10-17, 2010.

There are tons of activities throughout the week.

Please join me at the Huntington Library on April 10th for the kickoff for this event.

I’ll be there signing copies of my best-selling book, “Discover Hidden Secret Wisdom” as well two of my other books, “Wisdom Revealed: The Self-Improvement Journal,” and “Magical Spellbinding Quotes for Motivation (Volume II).

You’ll get $5 off of my best-selling book at the festival.
All people who attend this event can enter a contest for a chance to win a free copy of Discover Hidden Secret Wisdom.

At 6:30 p.m., best-selling author Jeanette Walls, author of The Glass House, will be giving a keynote speech for the festival and she’ll release her new book, Half-Broken Horses. I’m a big fan of Walls.

Of course, I’ll be going to join Beau Smith at the Huntington Museum of Art for a gallery walk which will highlight roughly 30 of the works from Mr. Smith’s collection of comic book illustrations. Mr. Smith has been collecting comic book art for over two decades.

Another event that I’ll be attending is on Wed. April 14th at Marshall University’s Drinko Library. Professor Jean Edward Smith author of the best-selling book, FDR, will be presenting. President Obama was reportedly reading Smith’s FDR during the he was president-elect. Smith is working on a new biography of Dwight Eisenhower, which will be released in 2010. Smith skipped my favorite past U.S. President. As you’ll recall from my book, Discover Hidden Secret Wisdom, it was Harry Truman.

Wow, listen to this, well, read what the Ohio River Festival of Books said about me on their page:

Danny Pettry (April 10) was born and raised in Beckley, WV. He received his M.S. in Recreational Therapy from Indiana University and now practices as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, with a focus on children between the ages of 7 and 13. In providing therapeutic care for those in need, Pettry has used the craft of journaling as part of the recovery process. His work has been recognized through professional awards, and his book, Discover Secret Hidden Wisdom, brings the tools he has acquired through his practice into focus for everyone-providing insight into how to live a successful life.

That sounds important. However, I am much more humble and down to Earth, I mean, West Virginia.
